20 April: the revolution in aerial archaeology
The use of drones in archaeology is the subject for Ingleborough Archaeology Group's next talk, on Monday 20 April at 7.30pm at Ingleborough Community Centre, Ingleton. Tony Hunt, who has carried out drone surveys for IAG, will present "Droning on - the revolution in aerial archaeology." The talk is open to all and non-members are welcome - £3 entry.

Prehistoric landscapes in Cumbria and Wales
Archaeologist Jamie Quartermaine presented a fascinating comparison of prehistoric landscapes in the Lake District and Wales in his talk 'From Cumbria to Cambria" on Monday 16 March 2026. Jamie, head of survey for Oxford Archaeology North at Lancaster, explained similarities and differences between the two areas, drawing on his experience of undertaking landscape surveys in the UK and abroad during the last 40 years.
