Protected status for Dudderhouse Hill long cairn

Great news has been announced about one of our local Yorkshire Dales neolithic sites, Dudderhouse Hill long cairn.

The monument has been officially granted Scheduled Monument status, which aims to protect it from any future damage.

And IAG's vice-chair, Yvonne Luke, has helped achieve this important win for local archaeology as she has been instrumental in bringing this little-known site to the attention of Historic England and the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
