If you are interested in archaeology - particularly of the area around Ingleborough - then why not come along to one of our talks, and think about joining us?
Ingleborough Archaeology Group gives a warm welcome to new members and offers two levels of membership: ordinary (£15) for attending talks and walks and doing documentary research, and hands-on ( £25 or £15 for those in full-time education) for getting involved in practical projects such as excavations and surveys. Find more information about IAG and how to join.
The group's activity focuses on the Ingleborough Massif where there is a huge range of important sites, ranging from prehistoric monuments to Victorian-era industrial remains. We arrange talks from invited experts on a wide range of archaeological subjects some of which journey much further afield than Ingleborough. For example our January zoom meeting takes us to the prehistoric monuments of the Outer Hebrides.
Talks are held on the third Monday of the month at Ingleborough Community Centre, Ingleton. Take a look at our 2024 programme . Non-members are always welcome (£3 entry.)
